I have just installed the update manager and it appears to have installed ok.

When I click on the new 'Update mnager' option under Components menu I get this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: stream_get_wrappers() in /home/woodcom/public_html/gmgsolutions/administrator/components/com_jupdateman/views/jupdateman/view.html.php on line 44

Can anyone help me with this?

I am currently running joomla 1.5.0

You need to use PHP5 or greater. Upgrade your system to use PHP5 instead of PHP4 and you should be able to get it to work properly.

I'm having this same problem. Was there ever a resolution?

pasamio had the answer above. I know all i had to to was add an .htaccess file to my website. Check with your hosting company - it might just be a simple fix.
