I get 7 of these

Failed to extract archive!

I checked my paths to see if they are correct and I'm pretty sure they are correct.

Permissions on the var folder is ok.

I saw this solution but it was posted a year ago so I'm not sure if it will still work. Also I'm not sure how to actually do it haha - http://sammoffatt.com.au/os/forum/2-update-manager/2-error-running-component-infinite-loop-detected

Any ideas?
The administrator has disabled public write access.

This component works perfectly, it's my host.

It is a host issue. Going to send them a nice email now.
