If you have been trying to use the Update Manager to upgrade to the recently released Joomla! 1.5.12 you may have noticed that the system will prevent you and only upgrade you to 1.5.11 (if you aren't on it already). This is due to a timeout issue with Joomla!'s core archive handling process which causes the extraction of the package to fail and run out of time on some servers. Since I don't want to cause that process to fail and leave a broken site, I've pegged the upgrades to be limited to 1.5.11 for the time being until I release an update which ships a better archive extractor to handle this situation better.
